About the Breed

Why Labradoodles?  Labradoodles are a very fun breed.   The combined genetic traits of the low shedding curly haired Poodle and the affectionate Lab makes it an awesome choice.  Labs and Poodles are both great athletes, so your pup will be no exception. A great choice whether you want a partner for the field, or just a backyard sidekick. Poodles and Labs are very loyal and have great dispositions, so these pups will good around children.

We often get the question are Labradoodles hypoallergenic?  If you don't have time to read the article we linked, the short answer is that there's no such thing as a truly hypoallergenic dog, but a well-groomed labradoodle with a thick coat that favors the poodle parent has less chance to cause allergic reactions.

Size: With both parents at standard size (AKC standard poodle, and AKC lab), your labradoodle has a shot to end up anywhere from 50-60 lb, give or take.  Some of the smaller ones may end up slightly under, and some of the bigger ones may end up slightly over.

Will my puppy's coat change color?  There is a possibility that as they transition from a puppy coat to an adult coat, the color and texture of the puppy's coat can change.  Read the following article:
